Bali - Monkey Forest

·190 words·1 min

Captivating Bali: From beaches to mischievous monkeys

We began our next adventure from a cozy hotel tucked away amidst the lush greenery.

Hotel View

After a great long breakfast we headed to the Pantai Gunung Payung Beach, a serene resort. Descending to its shores was quite an hike, with the sun beating down on us. Yet, the sight that greeted us was worth every drop of sweat. The beach, though small, exuded a tranquil charm, devoid of the usual crowd.

Following our morning escapade, we ventured into the enchanting realm of the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Amidst the dense foliage, we encountered cute, but sometimes mischievous little fellas. Their curious antics added a touch of whimsy to our jungle exploration, leaving us charmed.

In this forest, as well as everywhere else in our journey in Bali, one sight remained a constant: the Canang sari. These intricate offerings adorned the streets, temples, and homes, serving as a reminder of the island’s rich cultur. Each Canang sari spoke volumes about the Balinese devotion and reverence for tradition.
